Our holdings

The NGDC maintains an archive of over nine million items that include field slips, geological maps, borehole records, site investigation reports offshore data and technical reports.

The National Onshore Borehole Archive includes over 200 km of drillcore and over 600 000 specimens. The Biostratigraphical Collection comprises over three million specimens and the Petrological Collection includes 250 000 thin sections and 500 000 hand specimens.
