The site is run and managed by BGS on behalf of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).
The purpose of the website is to:
- provide simple and easy access to the datasets that have been collected to date
- collect all the raw and interpreted datasets and published reports and store them in one repository for the foreseeable future
